The Kokomo/Howard County Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Council is offering a $500 Scholarship to promote professional growth and educational attainment for women. The Scholarship is intended to provide supplemental financial resources for a female pursuing a post-secondary degree.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Deadline: Materials must be postmarked by June 15, 2008
Objective:- To promote professional growth and educational attainment for women, this scholarship will provide supplemental financial resources for a female pursuing a post-secondary degree. Currently, the amount of this award is $500.
Scholarship Criteria and Directions:
- Must plan to attend or be admitted to attend a college or university in Indiana and be a resident of Howard County.
- Must be a female pursuing an academic degree and enrolled in a minimum of 6.0 semester credits.
- Must demonstrate advancement goals toward a professional career.
- Must have a 3.0 grade point average (4.0 scale) or better.
- Must attach a copy of all high school or college transcripts (transcripts may be unofficial).
- Must attach a resume.
- Must attach completed and signed application with paragraph answers.

On a separate sheet of paper, and with type-written or word-processed format, submit answers in paragraph form to the following areas:
- Describe past and present strengths that will lead to completion of degree goals.
- Describe challenges you face in meeting current degree goals and plans to meet those challenges.
- Describe community involvement.
- Describe long-range academic and career goals beyond completion of this degree.
- Describe other financial aid or scholarships that you have received.

Information submitted in this scholarship application is correct and accurate. I understand I will be contacted by July 15, 2008, if I am awarded this scholarship. The scholarship award check will be written to the college/university in care of the individual award winner. To receive the award, the selected recipient must provide a copy of semester enrollment or acceptance letter for the award period to the Women's Business Council. The selected recipient will be honored during a WBC Luncheon in September.
