Government Liaison:
You are kept close to government issues affecting business through the Third House Sessions and the Local Government & Legislative Affairs Committee. We work on your behalf at all levels of government.
The Local Government & Legislative Affairs Committee surveys members to develop positions on legislative issues. The discuss Chamber positions with area legislators. They also host the Legislators Appreciation Dinner.
The Third House Sessions are typically held on the third Saturday in January, February and March of each year. The Third House Sessions provide a forum for our community to have an awareness and understanding of the activities transpiring at the General Assembly.
The Sessions also provide an opportunity for citizens to hear from their local state representatives and to have their concerns heard on a one-on-one basis by those lawmakers that represent this community.
The Third House Sessions will be a good time to let your legislators know what you think.
The Legislators Third House Sessions for 2009 have been scheduled for:
January 17
February 21
March 21
The Third House sessions will be held at Ivy Tech Community College on Saturday morning beginning at 10:30am and ending around noon.
